With the ever growing poverty in our country, burglaries are very rampant. The moral standard of some people are shaded, most break – in are done by neighbors and casual people but a thief is unlikely to persist if you have enough precautions in the home. Closed doors and windows can minimize this but to be very extra cautious here are some tips to avoid break in.

- Keep ladders locked away, avoid leaving it near window openings or be stored in plain view for the burglar to see and use. Padlock them in storage.

- It is also wise to cancel the delivery of milk or news paper when you are away.
- Fit locks to windows near flat roofs, drainpipes and trees where easy access is impossible.
- It is also best to mark your valuable for easy identification if every burglary occurs and valuable are recovered.
- Never have a name and address on your keys this will be an easy access for thieves.
- Never leave doors and windows open when you go out.
