Giving your living room a them adds interest and character to your design, it gives it a personal touch of the owner. When you design a living room start with a theme, you actually make the planning easier and organized. You may not actually want a living room to be actually themed – it needn’t be complicated just something that you can work with  - you can take something as simple as color to be your inspiration.

If you have a collection to display then let it take center stage. Nothing is more appealing than you memorabilia’s. Guests would love see what your personal touch in that area. You can start with the tiniest picture, the trick is to open your eyes to what could be used. Try lounging in that area for a couple of days and asses what you want to be in there and what you want the room to look like. You can even cheat! Copy your neighbors theme, but try improving it by adding your personal touch. It will never be a crime to do so.

Often the living room that looks most comfortable and attractive is the one that has developed over time. Think of how some hotel rooms look well – designed bout soulless. It is the accumulation of your personal touches that makes the room effective.
