MAKING THE MOST OF WHAT YOU’VE GOT.

 THE OLD SOFA

Construction and furnishing materials are never cheap. Especially with price hikes now a days, we need to recycle what we have to minimize expenses. Few people are lucky enough to be able start from scratch each time they decorate. The majority have to make the most of existing carpets, curtains and sofas which have been seen in better days. We also have to live with the existing structure of the house – whether we like it or not. Do not despair even with these existing materials, you’re your can be transformed with just a few clever decorating tricks. – And non will cost you a fortune!

Do a bit of research before you start, there are things you have to put up with for a few more years before actually replacing them. Here’s how to make the most of it:

Having an old sofa re upholstered can sometimes cost you as much as buying a new one, so unless it is reasonable enough to keep it, go ahead! I myself hadn’t decided yet on what to do with our existing sofa, but what may be worthwhile however is finding someone to make loose covers for easy washing. This will help you preserve you sofa a little longer.

If you want to spend as little as possible, try covering it with large scatter cushions and try to hide the worn patches. You can give it also a complete new look by wrapping/ covering it with fabric.
